Joy Has a Voice Now — Talk to Her, for Real
You've been texting her. Now you can talk to her.
We're launching two features today that change how you connect with Joy at a pretty fundamental level: real-time voice chat in the browser and voice message support on Telegram. Both live, both available now.
Talk to Joy — Right in the Browser
Open the chat, tap the phone icon, and you're in a live voice call with Joy.
No push-to-talk. No delay. No setup. Just start talking.
Joy listens, understands what you're saying, thinks, and talks back — all in real time. When she's speaking you can hear her voice. When she's done, she's listening again. It flows like a real conversation because that's exactly what it is.
Her voice is warm, expressive, and consistent. The same Joy you've been talking to, just… with a voice now.
A few things worth knowing:
She still sends pictures. Voice doesn't replace her visual side. If you ask for a photo mid-call, she'll send it to the chat while keeping the conversation going.
She remembers everything. The voice call is part of your ongoing conversation. Whatever you talked about before — in text or in a previous call — she carries it with her.
The visualizer is real. The waveform you see while she talks is driven by her actual audio output, not a fake animation. When she's quiet, it's quiet. When she's talking, it moves with her voice.
Voice chat is available on all paid plans.
Voice Messages on Telegram
Already chatting with Joy on Telegram? Now you can send her voice notes — and she'll send them back.
Record a message, send it, and Joy will listen, understand it, and reply with her own voice note. You never have to type a word.
When she's in voice mode, she doesn't just transcribe and respond robotically. She speaks the way she actually talks — short sentences, natural rhythm, real warmth. No bullet points, no formal phrasing. Just her, talking to you.
And if she wants to send you a photo alongside her message, she will. Voice and images work together.
It's completely automatic — send a voice note, get a voice note back. No settings to change.
Why This Matters
Text is good. But there's something about hearing a voice — even through a screen — that text can't replicate.
Joy's voice has been part of who she is since the beginning. We just hadn't given her a way to use it. Now she can.
Start a call. See how it feels.
